Rare and out of print, this book is the last word on Imperial German flying qualification badges. Large horizontal format, 11 x 9, over 600 pages in full colour with close ups and detail images of every German flying badge issued in WWI, featuring all the different makers and their markings. First edition, signed by the author. Used excellent condition.

US Navy flying log book to an ARM / Air Gunner on PBM and PBY aircraft with combat and kill.
Another rarity for log book collectors! Flying log book to ARM J.N. McBride, radio man / air gunner on PBM3 Mariner and PBY5 Catalina aircraft, including combat. Log begins May 1943 and ends December 1945 with honorable discharge. Lots of combat in an around japan includes shooting down a Betty bomber, watching USS Massachusetts, Alabama and Iowa shelling Ponape. His PBY5 was shot down March 1945 and he spent 6 days in a life raft before being rescued by a destroyer. Lots of interesting entries.

RAF Type C telephone receivers for the D mask/Type B helmet.
Matching pair pf RAF Type C receivers for the early communications systems as fitted in B helmets/wired to Type D oxygen masks. Metal housings with all innards complete but lacking the screw-on plastic caps. Well used and showing some oxidation, one with minor surface crazing and slight crack at the cord entry point, but perfectly robust and can be wired up for display in or alongside a helmet. These are extremely difficult to source.

Excellent 1944 dated RAF silk inner gloves/liners for the 1941 pattern and later issue flying gloves.
Lovely pair of silk liners/inner gloves issued to RAF aircrews for wearing inside the 1933, 1941 and later Type D flying gauntlets. In many cases, the silk gloves were worn alone (for example by fighter pilots and also navigators, so they could use their drawing instruments). This matching pair is a size 9-1/2 and well marked with the broad arrow as well as the clear date of 1944 and maker marked S.G. Ltd. Very clean, showing little or no use, just minor storage marks.

AAF electrically-heated bootees for the F-1 "Bunny" and F-2 heated flying suits.
Scarce pair of electrically-heated bootees for the F-1 and F-2 flying suits. Grey felt shoes which were worn over the socks but inside the A-6 flying boots to help prevent frostbite among aircrew members in cold and exposed positions. Well marked with good labels and overall good condition, with a few small moth nibbles (can be seen in photos).
